Advice On Trying Out Voice Impressions With J.R. Bjornson

When it comes to practising voice impersonations, it does take a little bit of mimicking, but in due time you will get the hang of it. In this video blog I share with you the technique I use when I am trying to impersonate a voice. I do this for fun, I haven't done this on stage yet, but perhaps I will give it a shot and find a way to add it to my stand up comedy. This is so fun to do when you get the hang of it. Just keep practicing, and practicing, and practicing. You will understand and begin to nail your voice impersonations. Make up characters in your mind, give those characters personalities. The rest will fall into place.

I have been practising voice impersonations for a few years, not as a professional mindset. I do it because it is fun, it makes me laugh and it brings great joy to my family. That and I love to annoy people in my immediate circle of friends. Thank you for stopping by today and checking out the video Blog. My next stand up comedy performance will be at the Velvet Olive in Red Deer Alberta on Friday, June 25, 2021. Show starts at 6 PM. It is a spoken word poetry and stand-up comedy show. The best of both worlds together. Take care.
