Give It T”Our Comedy Show Featuring Daryl, Jesse, And The Guy Who Got 5 Minutes

Yours truly will be hitting the stage at The Silver Buckle in Red Deer on Friday, April 25, 2025, for a very special night of stand-up comedy. I’ll be opening the show with five minutes of one-liners and a story that’s near and dear to me—think of it as a comedy sprint… short, sweet, and hopefully hilarious.

This show is part of Daryl Makk’s GIVE IT T’OUR, and it’s going to be a blast. Daryl’s been making people laugh since 1993 and has performed everywhere from sold-out shows at the Melbourne Comedy Festival to Comedy Network, Global TV, CTV, and SiriusXM. He’s been called “a friendly good ol’ boy with knowledge—and he’s not afraid to use it,” which basically means he’s funny and probably smarter than me.

Also performing is my fellow Red Deer local Jesse Gettis, who’s not just funny—he’s annoyingly good. The whole night is hosted by MC Tarah Buchanan, who keeps the energy high and the laughs flowing.

As for me, not only will I be opening the show, but I’m also hoping to bring a brand-new piece of merch: my book Learning Braille for a Good Cause. It’s part literacy tool, part fundraising effort to help me afford some fancy AI-powered glasses to help navigate the world. And let’s be honest—who doesn’t want to say they bought a Braille book at a bar?
